Folks, Nikkei_Simmer Sims...has reached the ripe old age of SIX!?

Tuesday, February 21, 2017 was when this blog came to being.

Almost seems like a lifetime ago and it seems to be that this blog is going to need to undergo some revamping.

Over the next little while, you're going to see some posts disappear and reappear elsewhere. I will be making an exclusively Sims related blog as I have done with my Star Wars the Old Republic Blog and Nikkei_Simmer Sims will become the Hub (landing site) for all those blogs. This Blog will deal with game news...and other things that happen around the gaming community in terms of new games. After all sims can not just only be for Sims 3. I'm going to look at it in the bigger context of simulations. Because I don't have joystick/throttle controllers to play FSX or any of the other games that I have patiently waiting for me, I'm going to stick with two different blogs for now. One exclusively for Sims 3; one for SWTOR - the two games that I play the most of. Over the next few months, I will be moving and shuffling posts to each of the blogs and deleting some posts that I feel, no longer have a home and I will be putting up new content up here.

Hopefully, once everything is done, Nikkei_Simmer Sims will become a much more stream-lined blog.

I Hate Voss...

I swear to the Maker, I loathe this planet with every fibre of my being and after Taris, that's saying something. I don't know if it's the "holier-than-thou" attitude of the Voss or their egotistical dismissive behavior, but everything about this planet rubs me the wrong way. What I want to do is go on a whole-sale killing rampage through this planet slaughtering every single Voss I come across.

That's why I'm so looking forward to when Sidonie makes it to Voss. Because she's going teach this blithely unaware blue-skinned, orange-eyed freaks the true meaning of the word "terror".

SWTOR - "Conversations in the Swamp"

Yes, getting majorly into the expansions with Claria. My wife was playing with her alt - Jysera and well, I figured I might as well play Claria in several expansions, including Illum, Shadow of Revan and Knights of the Fallen Empire. So I decided to dive in head-first finally after hemming and hawing about it for ages. Now, I'm into them deep. My wife got me geared up properly and I'm also subbed so I have access to all 1B credits. Evidently I got 600M from my guild-mate who is the primo Guild founder - the one who laid out the dough (the credits to start the guild), which is absolutely awesome so I was able to get kitted out quite well.

Claria is my main and she's one of the 4 who founded the SWTOR guild that we're all in. She's also into crafting so as soon as she has enough skill level to produce a high-level purple crystal, that's what she's going to switch to, rather than her green. In fact...all my alt are going to dawn purple crystals - since that's our guild color. Except Jerad Yun (Keron's brother). He's going teal green because he's contrary.

The pauses between dialogue in cutscenes is perfect to intersperse some dialogue that I want in my AU story-line.

WTF?!!! EA! (Tales of Corporate Greed)

ArilyBoo had several games including the entirety of the Sims 3 in her EA accounts. I'm not certain how 2 accounts were created, but well, I guess it probably involves forgetting that there was a second account and creating a new one. But these turds at EA taking advantage of the fact that she was honest and wanted to merge her two EA Accounts into one, decided to pull a fast one on her. They took ALL her games.

And it's highly doubtful that one would get any satisfaction from dealing with their customer service either considering half of them don't have a conceptual understanding of English and their modus operandi is to not deal with the customer's problem but to get them off the phone as quickly as possible. And thanks to those bumnuggets at Customer Service, ArilyBoo has lost over $300 worth of Sims 3 stuff and the entirety of her games. This is bumnuggetry at it's absolute finest on the part of EA. Not only do they have substandard Customer Service, but they've outsourced it to a group of individuals who don't give a shit if our problems are rectified. They're still getting paid to perform as poorly as possible.

I would hope that EA would make it up to ArilyBoo, but the likelihood of that happening is like the chances of hoping a poor snowball has a chance of surviving being thrown into a raging fire.

Considering the shit that EA has pulled off with the Glitterturd, I'm sure that this is going to be another notch in the annals of misdeeds this company has pulled off for years with no recrimination thanks to the idiots who keep tossing money at this company.

Update: Evidently hell froze over and EA did the right thing and transferred the games over that she had rightfully purchased. Surprising but that still doesn't get EA off the hook for the incompetence they displayed. The only thing that I can see that would get them off the hook is that the CS informed her that there may be delays. But he backpedaled and just said that "it is a sunset game", which is a bunch of bullshit.
