Well, here we are, folks, starting off on yet another build. The driveway slope stinks, but I didn't want to spend a whole major ton of trying to straighten out the angle just right. But anyways...the sims don't use it anyways. They poof into their cars at street level. It's just for esthetics.
Working on the driveway and the underground parkade (which ultimately will end up being separated from the environment by four parking garage doors in tandem; the vehicles will get washed off and then they will enter the garage proper. (haven't gotten the picture of the second set of garage doors, but they'll be in the next update)
I've got a lake in the main floor...having pushed down the parkade about two wall-heights, there should be enough room on the ground floor for whatever the occupants need - the basketball court is in the garage.
There are four levels underground. And I tested the building to make sure that the sims could enter the building and go down to all the floors.
Actually...I correct myself; I do have a picture of the bunker with the second set of garage doors.
There's the outer set of doors and an inner set of doors for people to move in vehicles.
Since Sims 3 doesn't allow us to make solid double walls (other than foundations); I decided to put some patchwork "insulation-reinforcement" for the elevator shaft leading up to the roof. Yes, I intend to put a helicopter landing pad up there...at some point.
Decided to take a break from that for a bit to search CC for some watch-towers with machine guns.
