Wait a second?!!! Does Nikkei_Simmer actually think he can be a “writer”.
No. Not really... but he figures he can at least try to come up with a little story idea; something other than playing in someone else’s sandbox all the time. And try to create his own little unique world for a change. This one is written in the first person. If I do decide to publish it officially I will change details and viewpoint; moreover I will probably change the viewpoint to third person. The only people I see use first person is Patricia Cornwell with her Kay Scarpetta novels. Blame my wife, she got me into those books. Also, I find first person is used for a lot of young kids, teens and young adult books. I have no clue as to why, maybe its so that kids can see themselves in the shoes of the protagonist. Who knows.
I tend to write more clearly in third person, then I can describe scenery, how the characters are all feeling, instead of just through the eyes of one character. For me, it flows more naturally
Endless Desolation Chapter OneWhen I can get onto a real computer instead of mucking about posting with an iPhone, I’ll put the link in the proper location on the sidebar - the layout page doesn’t seem to work in Safari for iOS. “Effing bumnuggets!” to the idiot at Safari”.
